Changing the game of sustainable batteries
SMS group wanted to tell the story of their joint venture for the recycling of lithium-ion batteries, making electromobility truly sustainable. We conducted a step-by-step development and coordination of all necessary parameters for an effective, and intelligent solution. The result was a well-designed, factual, and emotionally appealing film for use at events and on digital channels.
How it began
A revolutionary solution
Electromobility is the globally chosen way to reduce CO2 emissions in the transport sector. A joint venture between SMS group and Australian company Neometals Ltd, named Primobius, aimed to recycle lithium-ion batteries more sustainably. Therefore it had developed a two-step approach, which combined a chemical and a physical process to recover raw materials from old or defective batteries.
The given task was presenting the initial situation and the revolutionary solution in a film for a broad target group – in an appealing visual style as well as being informative and inspiring.
Developing the solution
Turning technology into a story
With our expertise in dealing with complex technical issues and innovation, we crafted a narrative that served as the creative basis of the film, developing a strong arc of tension – from the serious presentation of the challenging situation to a factual description of the solution. And ending with an emotionally stirring finale.
In the implementation, we consistently proceeded on a step-by-step basis – each step was coordinated with SMS group and Neometals to reach the result effectively.
The outcome
A successful grand opening
The premier of the three-and-a-half-minute film was held just in time for the opening of the Primobius test facility in Hilchenbach, with the participation of the Australian ambassador and other guests from business and politics.
The film can now be seen in a prominent position on the Primobius website, showing the advantages of the new technology.
